Do you think companies spend enough on staff training? Why or why not?

Case and facts for this task

Your company is rolling out new software. You and a colleague need to recommend who should deliver the training and how to organise it. Use the fictional planning notes below.

Two experienced staff members understand the company’s processes but have not taught this software before.

An external trainer offers a half-day workshop. The budget covers that workshop, but not daily follow-up sessions.

Customer support must stay open. Calls are quieter after 2 p.m.; at least half the support team must remain available.

Staff have access to a practice account. The new system goes live in three weeks.

Answer directly, then give a reason or example. This 30-second limit is for classroom practice, not a fixed exam timing for each question.

    TIMED SPEAKING

    Ready

    0:00

0 seconds to prepare, then 30 seconds to record. Speaking time starts only when the microphone is recording. Leaving this page stops the attempt.

    Record and listen back

Record up to 30 seconds and retry as often as you like. A new take replaces the current recording; your chosen best take is stored separately.

    0s / 30s

You choose your best take after listening; this is not an AI score. Audio is stored in this browser and is deleted if you clear its data.

    Optional: transcription and feedback

Browser recognition may send live speech to your browser provider. Whisper / Azure send audio to their respective services. AI feedback sends text only. Unconfigured services do not generate results.

Requests using your key are billed to your OpenAI account. Reloading clears the key.

If you do not yet know how to develop an answer, start with a seven-step lesson: case, chunks, viewpoints and an outline. Then return here to transfer what you have practised.
