Local by default. Uploading audio requires your choice.

On your device

Written responses, progress and review schedules use localStorage. Audio uses IndexedDB. Progress exports do not include audio: download recordings separately. Clearing browser data removes local work. Browser playback uses device-provided voices; some voices may use a provider network.

Optional external processing

Whisper or Azure requests forward audio through this site to the selected provider. AI feedback sends text and the task goal. This site does not store those requests in its database. Browser recognition is handled by your browser provider. Provider retention and processing follow their own policies.

Your own API key stays in page memory and is forwarded through the site's HTTPS endpoint to OpenAI. It is not stored locally or in the database. Use this only on a deployment you trust. Reloading clears the key.

Cloud and deletion

After sign-in, an explicit backup action uploads written records and review schedules. Audio is not cloud-synced. Signing in stores your email and session information. Site-funded AI requests store a daily request count to enforce usage limits. No public leaderboard or sharing is enabled.

Use the controls below to remove this version's local records, or to delete a signed-in account and its associated cloud data. Legacy records are separate. Export anything you want to keep before deletion.

Analytics

Optional Plausible or Umami analytics load only after opt-in and only if configured. Neither is enabled by default. Audio, responses and API keys are not included in analytics events. Standard hosting access logs may still exist; configure their retention with your hosting provider.
